Watch the RAW interview with Eagles Running Back Ryan Matthews on his Week 15 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
PHILADELPHIA– A three-fold backfield committee is not ideal for any running back in the NFL, but until the Philadelphia Eagles figure out their feature rusher, snaps will continue to be split.
Eagles back Ryan Matthews sat out for three weeks with an injury but came back in Week 14 against the Buffalo Bills for 38 yards on 13 attempts.
“Every running back is going to get their carries,” Matthews said. “The coaches are going to do whatever they have to do to win the game. When we get our chance to get in and play, we just have to give it one hundred and ten percent.”
The Eagles two-game winning streak against the New England Patriots and Bills is adding fuel to the hopes of a playoff run.
“I think everyone just got tired of losing,” Matthews said. “Winning feels a lot better coming in on Monday than losing.”
The Eagles are in a three-way tie for the top spot in the NFC East at 6-7 with the New York Giants and Washington Redskins.
