The coach for one of the most criticized positions on the Eagles has been let go by the team. According to several reports including Yahoo Sports, Greg Lewis was fired after a season that witnessed starting outside receivers Dorial Green-Beckham and Nelson Agholor combine for 72 catches, 757 yards and just 4 touchdowns.
Jordan Matthews was the only pass catcher to crack the top 120 in the NFL and his 804 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2016 were career lows. The Eagles passing attack ranked 24th in the NFL.
Lewis, a former Eagle, served just one year on the coaching staff. The Eagles have been seeking a receiver who can stretch the field after former head coach Chip Kelly allowed DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin to part from the team.
