Home has been kind for the Eagles. Four games played in south Philadelphia, four wins. They will attempt to make it five in a row on Monday night when they host the Green Bay Packers.
It is a Packers team that has allowed the opposition to score 30 or more points in five of their last six games. In contrast, the Eagles defense has been stingy at their home field. In those four games, the Birds are holding their opponents to 9.5 points per game.
Rookie quarterback Carson Wentz has also been more productive at home. His quarterback rating in Philadelphia is 92.6 vs. a road figure of 79.3. With a 5-5 record, the Eagles head into the Packers game as the third team on the outside of the NFC playoffs. A win would put them a half game behind the Redskins who hold that last playoff spot.
Tonight, Former linebacker Jeremiah Trotter and long time play-by-play announcer Merrill Reese will be inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame.
