57 years of frustration was washed away in 60 minutes of football on Sunday in Super Bowl LII. The Eagles 41-33 win over the Patriots meant for the first time ever, the Lombardi Trophy, the symbol of NFL supremacy would find a home in Philadelphia.
On Thursday, millions of Eagles fans lined a five mile parade route along Broad St. to celebrate the team’s first championship since 1960.
Head Coach Doug Pederson made a bold proclamtion. “We brought you guys a world championship and just like Mr. Lurie said we are not done yet,” Pederson said. “We have more to go more to prove. This is our new norm to be playing football in February.”
